Every one of our West 49 stores across Canada will ask for a donation for Habitat for Humanity Canada from June 23rd to July 27th. Customers who make a donation of $1 or more will receive a paper house that they can sign and put up on the front entrance doors and walls to the store.

Last Year we raised $25,000! Help us try to exceed that number this year!

What Habitat for Humanity does:
Habitat for Humanity is a not-for-profit organization working toward a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live
Mobilizes volunteers and partners to build simple, decent housing in order to provide low-income families with access to affordable home ownership.
Has now helped almost 1,600 families
Consists of 50,000 volunteers

How it works:
Habitat’s home ownership model empowers families to invest in home ownership. Through volunteer labour, efficient management and tax-deductible donations of money and materials, Habitat builds and rehabilitates simple, decent houses alongside homeowner (partner) families.

Habitat houses are sold to partner families at no profit and financed with affordable, no-interest mortgages. The homeowners’ monthly mortgage payments go into a revolving fund, which is used to build more houses
