Some people see contest entry forms and think “Does anyone really win these things?” – that’s exactly what Jenni Ridsdale from Stony Point, Ontario thought right before entering our Holiday contest with Big White, Billabong and Mitsubishi – little did she know just months later she would be choosing the winning key to her brand new 2011 Mitsubishi RVR while spending a dream weekend in Big White with the West 49 and Billabong crew!
It really does happen; people really do win these things and even for our five semi-finalists that didn’t win the car they were shown to a weekend that they won’t soon forget. It was a weekend that included snowboarding in the fresh powder at Big White, Skateboarding Ben Lee Skatepark in Kelowna and hitting the Flowrider surf wave at the H2O centre in Kelowna. It truly was the Ultimate Snow, Skate, Surf Experience!
It’s not often that you get to spend a weekend at Big White being taken care of by the crew from West 49 and Billabong Snowboard and Surf pros like Sepp Bruwhiler and Rube Goldberg, but we don’t run just your average contest! These kids got to experience it all from the skate, snow, surf experience to the amazing restaurants and activities that Big White has to offer (we went tubing and it was AMAZING!!!). Not to mention that Billabong hooked each and every one of them up with head to toe outerwear to keep them warm and looking fresh for the weekend! And of course on our last day we had to give away a car! We wish we could have given away six to our amazing, fun and well-deserving winners, but it was all Jenni – she picked the right case and opened it up to reveal the lucky key – the key that would start her brand new (and amazing – trust me I drove it) Mitsubishi RVR!
It was another successful trip in our “Living the Dream” series and an experience that you really couldn’t get anywhere else – so next time you see a West 49 contest take a minute to enter because who knows you may be our next lucky customer standing at the base of a mountain with the keys to your brand new car!!!
