It’s been a summer of nasty weather in BC and from what I hear, we’ve brought the sunshine to the left coast. It’s been absolutely beautiful out here and we’ve been working hard at getting Montage 3 happening. Hitting spots in the lower mainland has been great. RCMP just drives by and smiles at you, and security guards get you that one more shot at getting the trick. There are so many good spots here that we still need to hit. This trip has experienced more than enough robberies however, where a trick has been nano-millimeters away from landed clean, rolled away or stomped properly. It’s these close calls that eat away at you, because the effort is there yet the end result is just as well as one that saw no effort at all. I guess that’s just skateboarding, where if you look at the Emerica B-Sides, there’s a whole world of footage that “just didn’t make the cut”. On Sunday, we crewed up and rolled up to Squamish to hit these brick banks we’d heard about, and it was well worth the effort. Joining us, we had our friend Tony Myshlyaev back in the van and hot on the scene motivating us to get stuff done. A few photos were shot and tricks on tape ensued, all piled back in the caravan and headed home for the night. Back at it tomorrow, and for the full week ahead.
