The Billabong Canadian Damn Am, presented by Push.ca is taking place Sept. 9-10 at The Beach Skatepark in Toronto, ON. This is the 4th year of the Canadian stop of Damn Am, but the first time the event has moved east. The past three years the event has taken place in Vancouver at Bonsor Skatepark.
West 49 is sending Ty Peterson (AM team), Tom Mok (AM team) to compete. West 49 will match prize $$ won by any West 49 skater. These five skaters will also make up the West 49 shop team to battle it out on Friday for title of best damn team.
The top 12 skaters of Damn Am finals on Sat. will automatically qualify for Tampa Am in December 2011, with the top 2 skaters getting flights and automatically placed in Tampa Am semi finals. There will be a cash purse handed out during the Friday High Ollie Contest. Tons of prizing and giveaways from all sponsors to be handed out.
