Back in 1995, a couple of skateboard shop owners and a pro skater named Tim Gavin had a vision to create a footwear brand designed specifically for skateboarding. Since then, it has become a globally recognized force in the footwear market, yet the founding partners haven't wavered from the idea that the brand was built on - made for skaters, by skaters. Although DVS has gotten involved with a majority of the board sports world, DVS remains focused and committed to sponsoring the best skateboarders, supporting the best events, and backing the best retail stores in the world.
